State govt. points order ‘after fastidiously contemplating the state of affairs’
The Tamil Nadu authorities has issued orders for following its 69% reservation coverage whereas filling the 50% all India seats for admissions into the Tamil Nadu Nationwide Legislation College (TNNLU) in Tiruchi district with impact from the educational 12 months 2022-23.
As per the federal government’s resolution, the 50% of the overall seats underneath All India Quota can be full of Common (31%), Scheduled Tribes (1%), Scheduled Castes (18%) and Different Backward Courses (50%) for under-graduate, post-graduate and analysis programmes within the college, an official launch stated.
The 45% of the overall seats within the State-run college earmarked for resident college students of Tamil Nadu are already being stuffed by following the State’s reservation coverage to supply 69% reservation for STs, SCs and OBCs. Whereas 50% of seats in TNNLU are all India seats, 45% of seats are earmarked for resident college students and the remaining 5% for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

Initially established because the Tamil Nadu Nationwide Legislation Faculty on 25 acres at Navalur Kuttapattu village at Srirangam in Tiruchi district by way of an Act in 2012, it was renamed because the Tamil Nadu Nationwide Legislation College in 2018.
The TNNLU affords five-year B.A., LL.B (Honours), B.Com., LL.B (Honours) underneath graduate diploma programs and LL.M diploma programs with a complete consumption of 138 college students. College students are admitted to those programs by way of the Frequent Legislation Admission Check (CLAT).
