All India Congress Committee (AICC) normal secretary and in-charge for get together affairs in Andhra Pradesh Oommen Chandy on Wednesday urged the get together leaders to go to the folks throughout the State and expose the failures of the State and the Central governments.
Mr. Chandy, who arrived in Vijayawada on Tuesday on a two-day go to, addressed a gathering of the get together’s govt committee. He mentioned protests needs to be organised towards the “anti-people insurance policies” of the YSRCP authorities within the State and Narendra Modi authorities on the Centre.
After discussing with the leaders the latest State-wide protest ‘Jana Jagran Abhiyan’, get together membership enrolment drive, and a State-wide padayatra with the slogan of ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’, he gave instructions to the get together leaders on the longer term plan of action.
Earlier, the get together leaders mourned the demise of senior Congress chief, former Chief Minister of mixed Andhra Pradesh, and former Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah, and paid glowing tributes to him.
Senior Congress leaders C.D. Meyyappan, Christopher, AICC secretary Gidugu Rudraraju, APCC president S. Sailajanath, CWC member Chinta Mohan, State Congress normal secretary P. Rajiv Ratan and others participated.
