Kolkata: The body of a 60-year-elderly person was found in the boot of a yellow taxi, which figured out how to avoided a few checkpoints in Kolkata in the early long periods of Friday before being halted by police in the Chowbaga region in the eastern edges of the city, authorities said.
Police recognized the body as that of Sujamani Gayen, who was purportedly beaten with sticks and afterward strangulated to death by her little girl in-law and three others over a family battle, police said.
Gayen, an occupant of the Haridevpur zone, used to sell blossoms outside the Kalighat sanctuary. She had an exceptionally severe relationship with her little girl in-law Sujata, an official said. On Thursday, Sujata’s mom Malina Mondal and her accomplice Ajay brought Sujamani to their Pragati Maidan house,
He said. “At that point, they gave her food bound with resting pills and after that Sujata alongside her three relatives whipped and strangulated Sujamani to death,” he included.
Police said they have captured Malina, Ajay, Sujata and her uncle Basu Mondal regarding the slaughtering. In the wake of executing her, they stuffed the body in a sack alongside vegetables, and went out on a taxi to dump it, police said.
The taxi figured out how to avoid a few checkpoints yet was spotted by some police officers on watch obligation, they said.
They halted the taxi in the Chowbaga territory close Anandapur off EM Bypass, and requested that the driver open the boot.
The top of the lady was first seen by one of the cops among the vegetables in the sack, the official said. Ajay, who was in the taxi alongside Malina, at that point attempted to escape yet was gotten, the official said.
Afterward, Sujata and her uncle were captured dependent on Malina’s cross examination, he said.
Police said they are exploring the issue and a case has been enlisted.
