The Pettah Police on December 29 arrested a 45-year-old man on expenses of murdering his daughter’s good friend. The accused has been recognized as Lalan, a resident of Chayakudi lane in Pettah. Aneesh George (19), who used to dwell in the identical locality, is the deceased.
In accordance with the Pettah Circle Inspector, the incident occurred at round 3 a.m. on December 29. Mr. Lalan had woken up after listening to some noise from his daughter’s room. After his daughter did not open the door, he broke opened the door, adopted by which he had a scuffle with Aneesh, who was within the room. Mr. Lalan had allegedly stabbed Aneesh with a knife through the scuffle.
Although the Pettah Police arrived on the spot, which is positioned near the station, inside ten minutes and rushed Aneesh to Medical Faculty Hospital, he was declared ‘introduced lifeless’.
The police later arrested Mr. Lalan. Extra investigations into the explanations that led to the homicide are on.
