“It is with overwhelming heart I share that my brilliant sibling, Robert, calmly spent away this evening. He was not simply my sibling, he was my closest companion. He will be significantly missed, yet we will meet once more. His memory will live on in my heart until the end of time. Robert, I love you. Find happiness in the hereafter,” Trump said in an announcement.
Robert Trump, who at 72 was two years more youthful than the president, was a business chief and land engineer.
President Trump made a passionate visit to see his weak sibling on Friday at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center before setting off to his golf club at Bedminster, New Jersey, for the end of the week.
The president was required to go to the memorial service, an associate said. He has a bustling itinerary in coming days with plans to visit four battleground states as a major aspect of his re-appointment crusade.
The reason for death was not uncovered. Trump told columnists on Friday that his sibling was “making some hard memories” with an undisclosed ailment.
ABC News had announced that Robert Trump was hospitalized in the emergency unit Mount Sinai medical clinic in New York for over seven days in June.
That equivalent month, Robert Trump won an impermanent limiting request against his and the president’s niece, Mary Trump, to prevent her from distributing a tell-all book that offered an unflattering look of the US president and his family.
